Garbus does a great job in creating the atmosphere and never letting go. Its specially difficult because he sets up for a disappointment before the movie even begins. Amy Ryan is hot and cold at times but mostly acceptable lead and as the mother searching for her daughter. McKenzie and Byrne are wasted here. A few flashbacks or setup of the relationship before would have been helped audience connect more with the pain of losing a child.
