Re: Thief
Dated, and probably one of the worst soundtracks I've ever seen. The story itself is classic Mann, and its basically the same character that Deniro plays in Heat. James Caan is fantastic in this role, and while I can't really say I liked the movie that much, the soundtrack really ruined for me, the story and Caan is worth it to see.
A for Caan and the story. D for everything else
C+ overall

Re: Thief
Fantastic directorial debut. A definitive example of a cool movie. The last ten minutes are just spectacular.
Drive lifted so heavily from this.

Re: Thief
Very nice and cool film. Caan is great and it's a pretty awesome to watch some 80's throwback once in a while and you're in good hands with Mann here. It oozes with style and just makes me want to see more of it. The score is a highlight too, no idea idea what Thegun is talking about, I guess he just doesn't like synthesized sound.
