Above Suspicion is a 2019 thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston. It is based on Joe Sharkey's nonfiction book about the murder of Susan Smith, also called Above Suspicion (1992).

Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston are both great in this. The whole drug dealer business seems slight but the love story works because of the leads. The problem I found is the voice-over which did not serve the movie well, the suspense felt diluted in the end hearing Clarke's voice. Also the movie has no room for suspicion or doubt throughout its just a plain old retelling without any tension.
