 Throw Momma from the Train
Throw Momma from the Train Quote: Throw Momma from the Train is a 1987 American comedy film directed by Danny DeVito, and starring DeVito and Billy Crystal, with Rob Reiner, Anne Ramsey, Branford Marsalis, Kim Greist, and Kate Mulgrew appearing in supporting roles.
The title comes from Patti Page's 1956 hit song, "Mama from the Train (A Kiss, A Kiss)". The film was inspired by the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock thriller Strangers on a Train, which also plays a role in the film.
The film received mixed reviews, but was a commercial success. Anne Ramsey was singled out for praise for her portrayal of the overbearing Mrs. Lift; she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Very fun film. Always a solid one to watch when it is on television.

B
I've always enjoyed this movie. Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal have a really good chemistry throughout the film, and Anne Ramsey is excellent.

This is a very enjoyable movie. It goes a bit downhill when it gets to Owen's home but it finishes well, and Danny DeVito is just a class character actor. Fun story and I love its connection to Strangers on a Train.
