Re: Blockers
I saw this like a week ago. It's very funny and sweet, and has a fair number of laugh out loud moments. Highly enjoyable. A-

BLOCKERS
I enjoyed the comedy. It was very entertaining for me. It felt like a flip on the original American Pie film. There were multiple laugh out loud sequences with the audience I watched it with which helped the overall experience. I liked the cast. Cena, Mann, Barinholtz were all very good. Normally, I find Mann hit or miss as she can be quite annoying but she was perfect in her role here. I also enjoyed the teen actors. I thought the situation of Barinholtz's daughter was interesting and unique to see it here.

Re: Blockers
It was funny in most parts but I wasn't able to connect with these over-protective parents and their misadventures. It felt like a generic comedy which is a cut above similar movies due to the chemistry among the three leads (parents) but it still remains that - a generic teen comedy. While all three leads were funny at some point I like Ike's work here a lot because he manages to be funny and emotional parts well.

Blockers
I thought this was hilarious. I laughed a lot. Cena is refreshing and surprisingly funny. A promising future Hollywood star, I hope. But Ike Barinholtz's quick wit makes the film. I just thoroughly enjoyed myself. Sex comedies are not easy, but when they're cool and unrestricted they are. The final quarter isn't as good, but I guess that's expected with this type of film (there has to be a resolution to the arcs). Oh, and although we don't really see it in its full glory; Gideon Adlon has a mighty fine chest.
I enjoyed how Universal shoehorned in a bunch of their own films. Mentioning Inferno and The Fast and the Furious movies was cool, but I don't think any human on the planet has a poster of Snow White and the Huntsman on their bedroom wall. Also liked the dig at Twilight, and just the pop culture references in general were a delight. Good film.

Re: Blockers
Good film, quite funny and got its heart in the right place. The three adult leads got some good chemistry, and I was quite surprised how much I liked Cena in a prominent role. It's never really laugh out loud funny, some things are silly, but it's pleasantly comedic all the way through. Nice directing debut of Cannon.

Re: Blockers
I do think I remember one scene in the trailer where Ike is falling or almost falling of some balustrade, but don't think I saw that here.

Re: Blockers
The comedy is a little hit and miss, but the heartfelt parts work, and the lead actors do well. Good comedy but I preferred Booksmart.
