Incredibly sweet, good-hearted and topical, and while it won't win any awards for its direction or screenplay (it is adapted from an off-Broadway play and feels that way sometimes) the performances are all fantastic. Claire Danes and Jim Parsons have a huge fight scene in the climax that could merit some awards buzz for both of them, and Octavia Spencer is also lovely in a key supporting role. B+
