This movie is a masterpiece. I fully expect it to be in the awards race next year. It's such a powerful and effective movie. The direction from first-time filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green is beyond accomplished, and he interweaves the multiple storylines here seamlessly. There are so many shots in this movie that will stick with me for a while, and the entire ensemble is brilliant. Special mention has to be given to the three leads - Anthony Ramos, John David Washington and Sundance breakout Kelvin Harrison Jr., who all perfectly embody their characters. It just feels like such a movie of the moment. I loved this so much. A
