It's good mainly cause Bette Davis and Joan Crawford are both incredible, the latter doesn't get to chew up the screen as much but her non-verbal acting is aces and reveals the layers of her complex character. Both this and Feud could have gone in a more bitchfesty or campy direction, but chose a layered psychological style instead and let its actors carry it. I think a better director could have taken this to another level, but overall a very good thriller
