OK so I watched the extended version of this...

Umm that's a completely different movie than what I saw in the theater. It wasn't a complete editing nightmare.

I'd probably lower my original grade to a C+, and the extended version gets a B+. That stupid brother character, though. At least having him gave us the badass skeleton version of El Diablo.

I've only seen the extended cut.

The theatrical version must surely be an F for me then.

As most have said, it's not as bad as BvS. BvS wasn't good, but it wasn't the shit pile it was made out as. In this, the characters and their backstories are actually quite fun. The leads are great, especially Margot Robbie. Jared Leto's Joker should not have been in this movie. After the iconic Nicholson and Ledger, Leto is absolute shit. He does not have enough screen time, and he is far too goofy. The Joker is supposed to be both funny and scary, Leto is neither.

The story is not horrible, but it's not good either. The mid film zombie slashing crap is generic as it gets, but there are a few interesting developments that follow. I don't remember what they are, exactly, this film is kind of forgettable, but I remember checking the time during the zombie slashing, and then I was entertained at least for the rest of the movie.

And Cara Delevingne is moreso miscast than bad here. she's not believable as a fucking archaeologist, and eventually her character is just CG and sound like she is voiced by anohter actress. But her character sucks too, and the climax of the film is ultra generic and dull.

So overall, it was fun and entertaining, but certainly it's not something that you want WB to keep churning out.

Rewatched this to get ready for Birds of Prey. Eek.

I think had this a more grounded story (the idea that this group can perform anything to the level of Superman is truly idiotic) and not been hacked to pieces this could've been way better. I kinda feel like this was like Justice League and so much of the film got reshot but I guess who knows.

This was an awesome movie, haters can suck it. And I genuinely enjoyed the groups energy and bond

Not sure where else to post this, but Rocksteady (of the Batman Arkham series) are making Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League for PS5 and XSeX. The teaser art is a Superman with a target on his head. Fucking awesome idea.

Though it also brought me back to a much asked question about the movie: why the fuck was Enchantress the main villain???

This film is easily the worst of the DCEU so far. The only bright spots are some of the lead characters like Joker and Harley. The plot is simultaneously generic and convoluted and the visual style is bland and lifeless.

If they had not tried to make this and JL "Marveled" with reshoots I think things would be different with DC and JL3 would've been in production. Sigh. If they ever release the original cut and it's good lol
