No one? Really?

Anyway, I was very positively surprised by how many laughs this one had. Not as good as the first, but still pretty damn funny thanks to the trio Thornton/Cox/Bates.

The best thing about Bad Santa 2 is that they play it nice and loose.

...I bet that's not going to work for a few people. The three returning main players clearly appear to relish reprising their roles, and they're ably joined by gruff and ready newcomers Kathy Bates and Christina Hendricks. Everyone's licking their chops and wearing their Santa beards way down low! The screenplay's a pleasantly contrived bit of holiday hokum that leaves you surprisingly touched (and not in the plethora of rude ways descibed in the movie, but in actual holiday classic chills. This one's going to take people a few watches to get deep into the groove of it's dark and dirty humor. *B+*


(Not that it needs to be said, but this sequel can never compare with the brilliant original. But then, what ever could compare to Terry Zwigoff's second last feature film?)

Not good but has some decent laughs. 4/10
