This was shockingly not produced by Luc Besson.

It fails to impress with a rushed ending and not using the talented cast. The second half is muddled and fails to capitalize on the promise of first half. Elba does great but Madden fails to impress in his first big role outside of GoT (his deep voice would actually be suited for animation work IMO). The chemistry between the two leads is decent though the characters don't evolve during the entire movie. This felt like they wanted to take pages from Luc Besson's filmography but came short.

6/10

It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense and the whole thing feels rushed (it's under 90 minutes without credits). But Idris Elba proves to be a capable action star. I hope his next vehicle of this sort is better. C

It watched about half, parts of it during a dinner last weekend. Not too bad and I could see it having a decent enough watch were I to watch it in full. Based on what I've seen I'd put it in the average to decent grade category.
