 Re: Meadowland
For the most part I really enjoyed this though with its heavy subject matter I thought there were some aspects it could have expanded on or handled better. Olivia Wilde was fantastic here, maybe a career-best performance. Luke Wilson was also great. The entire supporting cast is amazing, though Elisabeth Moss, Merritt Wever and a few others are kind of wasted in small supporting roles. It's a little disjointed but I think it's worth seeing and it should hopefully find a home somewhere. B

 Re: Meadowland
Just finished this and have to sit with it a bit but I thought it was a powerful film. The ending brought tears to my eyes. I really felt the hopelessness Wilde's character was experiencing. I cannot imagine going through something so difficult. I don't think I could go on living.
Terrific performance by Olivia Wilde. Movie definitely isn't for everyone but it's an uncompromising portrait of grief and well-worth seeing for more open-minded film watchers.
