How long is the line in Disney world to meet Simba?

But no let's pretend that the 24-35 demographic who grew up with the film AND ARE NOW HAVING KIDS aren't showing their kids the film.

...there has never been a meet and great for Simba...

There is great evidence that Frozen is infinitely more popular among kids nowadays than The Lion King. Do you assume that people will just stop showing kids Frozen in a few years?

Edit: Ah, I get what you were going for. Going back to Flava's original point, between Frozen and Zootopia, Frozen is the clear winner now (my opinions aside) and it will be then. There won't be a debate (hopefully it'll be between two better movies) between the two. Meanwhile, The Lion King will always be in the discussion.

The Lion King is a great movie. I'm just giving you a suggestion on how to enjoy their New films without comparing them to the ones from your childhood. I know I'm the one who raised the subject, I just got the feeling You we're comparing zootopia and Frozen to the 90's movies from your reviews. I don't want you to think that I'm attacking you, but upon rewatch of several of Disney's more recent films, I like them as much or more than the classics, and think maybe you could too.

If that were true, I would've liked Tangled much less.

Zootopia

Really fun film. The animation and the energy were very appealing. The recording-someone's-confession thing was overdone (I counted 3 times), as was the theme of staying true to your dream, and the 3D was unnecessary, but I had a good time with Zootopia - its characters were well voiced, and the film was funny (just not LOL funny).

Jason Bateman as Nick the fox was a terrific choice. And whoever voiced the fat cheetah police officer on the front desk (I recognise the voice - was it that guy from She's Out Of Your League?), did a splendid job.

First off, the character animation in Zootopia is superb. CGI animation is finally starting to establish it's own artistic traditions and break free of the uncanny valley. And while I did admire the dark edges of the conspiracy theory storyline, it's good but overall there just wasn't enough zip in it for me to rate this among the Disney classics. *C+*

Loved it the first time around, but it even gets better on the second viewing (unlike Deadpool). This film is brilliant and definitely my #1 of the year so far. Up there with the very best from Disney.

This was awesome. It all worked for me from the personal story, to the larger societal themes, to the humour and a fun detective story. Perhaps best of all is the attention to detail. The depth of different animals and roles in Zootopia is endlessly deep, and there's so many jokes that work better just for tiny reasons, down to things like the expression in the eyes in moments like when Nick hears he's on the hook for tax evasion and the sloth's eyes as he slow moves to laugh, the sound of the paper as it slowly rips, to the way Judy runs as adding to her character, to stuff like her mom saying her ears are drooping, to how Gazelle's dancers moves. The voices are the best in a film in a while, with Goodwin and Bateman being perfect for their characters along with supporting fits like Elba and Torrence. This film kind of has it all

I LOVED the movie. Animation is brilliant, voice cast is great and the humor is also great. The sloth scenes are the real LOL moments. There's a lot going on due to which some of the themes seemed half cooked but it doesn't bother the flow of the movie. I re-watched it several times now and the experience is still great every time.

8/10

It's good. Compared to the reviews it got I find it a bit overrated as there are many better animated movies. I mostly think the story is paper thin and that's my main problem. It could definitely use a bit more work as everything is fairly predictable and obvious and the themes it's trying to work with are just the surface of what the movie could've play with.

DMV part was aces though. Had me laughing out loud throughout.

This was very good. Beautiful animation, and nice characters, I especially enjoyed Bateman as the fox. Dad bunny was good too, I would have sworn that was Giamitti if I didn't find out it was Don Lake after all. Shakira's theme song is catchy too, and the opening sequence was very hilarious. It has a good topic, but I didn't find it a very memorable film either. Sticks out as a top animation of 2016 though.
