I actually find this Disney classic to be quite overrated. It's cute, but unmemorable, fare. I actually prefer the live action remake with Glenn Close.

Just watched this again because of the bluray release and I'm always underwhelmed. Probably the weakest out of the titles that are considered upper tier.

God, the Glenn Close remake is just terrible.
I enjoy this one mostly for Cruella. The middle with the Twilight Bark is slow, but it is still very entertaining for the most part. Probably my third favorite older Disney movie after Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty

Re: One Hundred and One Dalmatians
For the first two thirds or so, One-Hundred and One Dalmatians is a really great time. I really liked the dog narration, the jazzy atmosphere, Cruella's over-the-topness and the twilight bark/lighting of the beacons. It does drag near the end and I wish they could have found a way to escape without using blackface, but it doesn't ruin the movie or anything. I'd say it is Tier-2 Disney.

Apparently we have two threads for this movie.
