Nowhere near as funny as the first one, but it has enough laughs to be a passable diversion. Needed more Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey. C+

Holy fuck, this was absolutely terrible and this is coming from someone that really enjoyed the first and found it hilarious. All of the jokes fall flat and more than a few actually made me uncomfortable, the plot is moronic and none of the actors are trying - though I have to admit that even though their parts are horribly written Jennifer Aniston, Chris Pine and Kevin Spacey all do their best to rise above the material they are given. Christoph Waltz has such a one-note role that it barely registers, and all three of the leads are annoying as hell this time around. It's a real shame, because I really thought the first was so clever and found Charlie Day and Aniston scene-stealers. I couldn't wait for it to end. Thankfully, judging by the tepid box office returns this seems destined to become one of those forgotten unnecessary sequels where it will join movies like Legally Blonde 2, Miss Congeniality 2 and The Whole Ten Yards, and I doubt it will affect my enjoyment of the first movie when I rewatch it. I'd like to just forget this one happened. D+

Obviously not as good as the first film but I still had a lot of fun with it and I think it was unfairly bashed. It was pretty humerus and the cast once again works great together. Chris Pine is also a welcome addition here and Jennifer Aniston shines once again.

Like others have said it is funny enough, the main three work so well together and help keep the comedy astride while Chris Pine is a welcome addition.

stale and mediocre. The leads have a good chemistry but there are a ton of misses here, waste of an ensemble.

Horribly unfunny. Okay, not entire. Kevin Spacey's scenes were awesome ("No balls!") and Chris Pine actually stole the show every now and then, but overall - what the hell happened? The main trio seemed to have no chemistry left and they were more annoying than funny. And Christoph Waltz so obviously didn't even want to be in this film. Even in mediocre/bad films he is usually the highlight (like The Three Musketeers), but he just does NOTHING here. Man, this "franchise" just died a quick death.

Horrible Bosses 2

A fun bro-comedy that misses the intriguing plot and wisecrack pedigree of the first, but still delivers a largely enjoyable set of circumstances. With an all-star cast, Horrible Bosses 2 promises a lot but actually delivers less, but some performances are noteworthy. Chris Pine actually excels as the backstabbing and spoiled son of billionaire businessman, Christoph Waltz, who is actually pretty terrible in his part-Waltz-part-Landa no-show performance. Absent this time is Colin Farrell, and he's surely missed, but Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston more than make up for the void in their small roles. The main trio are the same, I guess, but while Jason Bateman plays the straight-man well and Jason Sudeikis plays the wise talking gent well, Charlie Holiday is just an annoying retard most of the time. He tries too hard to be funny without ever reaching anything remotely so. And Jamie Foxx's scenes are embarrassingly unfunny.

This was really funny, and I don't get the bad reviews. I missed the first film's format at first, but eventually I was just as invested. The story is a bit more predictable this time around, as it follows many of the original's beats, but it was very funny nonetheless.

It certainly misses some of the fun of the first, but I thought it was still a good time. I'm appreciative that, of what I remember of the first (I did love it, but it's been a while), it's not just a complete rehash of what we've already seen. And Chris Pine was aces in a batshit crazy role. I wasn't a fan of bringing back Aniston and Spacey at first, but they were obvious highlights. I don't know, I just really enjoyed it and like the trio too much that maybe I'm missing something but I liked it.

The only misfire for me is Christoph Waltz. He seems as equally uninterested in the role as the writers were in creating the role. I was expecting more if he was going to be in it.
