Muppets Most Wanted
Muppets Most WantedQuote: Muppets Most Wanted is a 2014 American caper musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by James Bobin and written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller, the film—the eighth theatrical film featuring the Muppets—is a sequel to 2011's The Muppets and stars Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey. In Muppets Most Wanted, the Muppets find themselves unwillingly involved in an international crime caper while on tour in Europe.
The majority of the production team behind The Muppets returned for Muppets Most Wanted including Bobin, Stoller, producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films, and music supervisor Bret McKenzie. Principal photography commenced in January 2013 at Pinewood Studios in London. Muppets Most Wanted premiered March 11, 2014 in Los Angeles, California and will be released in North America on March 21, 2014.

Re: Muppets Most Wanted
Hmmm as far as muppets movies go, I'd put it as my 2nd to least favorite (that honor still belongs to muppet treasure island) The songs were mostly one note outside of the first and last songs. The human actors don't really resonate either. They all have some decent jokes but they feel very disjointed from the main plot. Some very random cameos too, though good night Danny trejo had me laughing my ass off.
My biggest issue is there really isn't a lot of heart to the film and the plot is kind of uninteresting. Fake Kermit is funny but only for a bit and fozzy and gonzo are almost cameos. Not enough focus on the other main muppets. Walter as the 2nd main muppet again kind of hurts here. Though I understand the new generation will know him best after Kermit.
However it's harmless and a few songs are catchy and some decent age transcending jokes sprinkled throughout. I don't think I'll ever see this one again though. B-

Entertaining and cute, of course, but this is probably one of the flimsiest Muppet movies to date. B-

Though not as strong as the previous entry, there is still plenty of Muppet goodness to get a fine sense of enjoyment out of the entry.

I love the Muppets, so there was no way I'd thoroughly dislike this film, but it is a great disappointment after the wonderful The Muppets (2011). It felt so disjointed and, in spots, simply uninspired. I missed Jason Segel and Amy Adams too and the songs in the first one was much much better.
