Cuban Fury

A fun film. There were some little moments of comedy that stood out (mainly due to Chris O’Dowd), but on the whole it’s just not funny enough. It features a bog-standard romantic sub-plot and a run-of-the-mill little man overcoming the odds main plot. It’s nothing special, but I enjoyed watching it and all of the English humour that I’ve been without for a few years was welcome.

Simon Pegg makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo, Nick Frost is a loveable teddy bear, and Ian McShane, Olivia Colman and Chris O’Dowd round out a competent, if unspectacular, supporting cast.
