The Square Peg
This is probably my favourite of Norman Wisdom's movies, although they're all great. He plays two roles and the stages of events are just impeccable and hilarious. In fact, I'm sure while Jackie Chan admits to using Buster Keaton as inspiration for his movies (most notably in Project A and Project A Part II), he must have seen some Norman Wisdom too.
The story is absurd, but it doesn't matter because Norman is just so watchable and adorable. He can play a nasty general and a nice-but-dim labourer.
