Bring It On
Bring It OnQuote: Bring It On (known as: Cheers! in Japan) is a 2000 teen comedy film about two competing high school cheerleading squads, starring Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford, and Gabrielle Union. It was directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jessica Bendinger. The film was followed by four direct-to-video sequels (none of which contain any of the original cast members), 2004's Bring It On Again (which only shared producers with the original), 2006's Bring It On: All or Nothing, 2007's Bring It On: In It to Win It and 2009's Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. Surprisingly entertaining movie. Very funny. B

I rewatched this on cable last night and it's still a fun movie. It's sharp and witty and doesn't take itself too seriously. Kirsten Dunst is cute, but it's Eliza Dushku who really got my attention in this. I also like that the movie even ends on a different note than your typical sports film. And this is a sports film, surprisingly! My grade: B+.

First time I saw it I thought it was fun, the second time...I realized it was actually taking some of its jokes and character studies too seriously. There's a difference between a script that parodies shallow teen talk and actually embraces it. There were some larger turn-offs and problems that came through after a few viewings. Still, interesting "action" scenes, and there was the happy fingers guy.

What an utterly enjoyable, even though brainless movie. This movie is the definition of pure and lightheaded fun. Kirsten Dunst is a blast as Torrance, but Eliza Dushku almost steals the show as Missy. Jesse Bradford is as bland and untalented as ever, but that doesn't really hurt the movie. I don't know what more is to say about it, other than it's witty, charming, funny and very rewatchable.

Seems like B+ is the most fitting grade for this flick, heh.

Is this the only cheerleading movie made? I think Man of the House is kinda cheerleading.

I saw this with my niece a few years back, and it was surprisingly enjoyable. I can only imagine what expression must have been on my face in one scene that Eliza Dushku was in, because I heard my niece's voice say "You like her.", and I just shook my head in agreement and continued watching.

Nodded your head in agreement, I think.
Anyway, it's been forever since I've seen it, and all I remember is not liking it. So. I won't comment.

I saw this when it first came out with a bunch of my friends during a birthday party. I pittied the other members of the crowd because we were extremely loud during the film. I think that's what the film more enjoyable.
I have seen it since then on DVD, and I still enjoyed the film very much, especially during the car wash sequence.

Saw it - liked it - can't remember a darn thing about it...
(I guess I'll have to score it low on my "memorability" scale.)
