 RoboCop 2 RoboCop 2 Quote: RoboCop 2 is a 1990 American science fiction action film directed by Irvin Kershner and starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O'Herlihy, Belinda Bauer, Tom Noonan and Gabriel Damon. Set in the near future in a dystopian metropolitan Detroit, Michigan. It is the sequel to the 1987 film RoboCop.
The film received mixed reviews from critics.
It was the final film directed by Irvin Kershner, who died in November 2010.

Re: RoboCop 2 Peter Weller is great here, and when he's on screen, it's a very fun sequel. Unfortunately in the middle Tom Noonan for some reason takes center stage, and the film comes to a halt. The finale is good and the effects and action hold up well enough. Virtual Noonan is awful though. It's a step down in quality from part one, but overall still not bad.
