Shaun of the Dead
Shaun of the DeadQuote: Shaun of the Dead is a 2004 British horror comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and written by Pegg and Wright. Pegg plays Shaun, a man attempting to get some kind of focus in his life as he deals with his girlfriend, his mother and stepfather. At the same time, he has to cope with an apocalyptic uprising of zombies.
The film is the first of what Pegg and Wright call their Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy with Hot Fuzz as the second and The World's End as the third.
The film was a critical and commercial success in the United Kingdom, and the United States. It received universal acclaim with a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 76 out of 100 at Metacritic. Shaun of the Dead was a BAFTA nominee. Quite funny. It's not great, but enjoyable. B

I guess I should start, since I requested the thread.
This movie met my already incredibly high expectations. Even though I knew what alot of the humor would be before I saw the movie (Shaun not realizing that everyone around him was a zombie), that didn't make it any less funny.
I felt that the romantic parts of this "rom-zom-com" were split very evenly between the comedy parts, so if you prefer one genre over the other, you never have to wait long before the movie switches gears.
Best of all, the ending was not only hilarious, but had a shocking twist, as it deals with the aftermath of the zombie attack in a way most people have probably never even thought of.
GO SEE THIS MOVIE

Shaun of the Dead was one of those rare pleasures. A Zombie movie with Comedy and Romance. One of the best parts of this movie are the main characters. The funny thing about them are that at first, they are not even aware that those creatures were zombies (because any sane person would know that). I like how they never took anything seriously, until something actually does happen, and they, along with friends, have to run to a pub (great choice). But their stupidity is what makes this comedy so funny, and not to mention rare. One flaw is that it also at times (especially at the end of the 2nd act), it tried to be a legitimate Zombie movie, and some parts were just too gruesome to be in a comedy. But this movie is still well worth the look.

Hilarious. Scary. Gory. HILARIOUS! I loved this from start to finish. A three-way tie for best movie (tied with Dawn of the Dead and Saw).

It was really was amazing. Though I'd agree that the once they were in a pub it did get a bit too serious, it's at best a minor complaint and it still worked great. I saw it last Tuesday at a theater at a special screening, and for the third time I saw it, the audience LOVED it too, hearty applause at the ending. A

I can see why people wouldn't like it. I don't BELIEVE it, but I can see why. Although an F? Man, that's a little harsh. I can think of ten films in five seconds this year that deserve an F more.

The best zombie movie and one of the best british movies I've seen almost surpassing Trainspotting
Like everyone said its a rom-com-zom movie but I enjoyed the witty humor that they used in the movie. It also helps if you are a fan of the director's series Spaced

Pretty good movie, funny. Ive always liked Simon Pegg, whilst not in "Spaced" but he is a hilarious blokey. Good film, good points are also made

You gave a "piece of crap" a C+? Jesus, I gave Harold and Kumar a C+, and I thought it was still a decent movie. Shark Tale is a piece of crap, with a D grade.
