Post Re: Love and a .45
A black comedy about a young couple on the run following a robbery gone bad. Wanted by the police and tailed by crime partner Billy Mack and two mob-related debt collectors, Watty and Star flee from their trailer home in Texas to Mexico, making stops en route to get married and to visit Star's parents. Filmed quite stylishly (Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, and Doug Liman come to mind) on a low budget with some interesting monologues and dialogues between these flawed characters, Love and a .45 is an enjoyable ride for me.

Ally McBeal star Gil Bellows did a good job playing our offbeat hero Watty Watts who adheres to a self-prescribed standard of morality: steal and con for a living but never hurt no one. He does not kill anyone in the movie.

Grade: B
