Bananas
BananasQuote: Bananas is a 1971 American comedy film directed by Woody Allen and starring Allen, Louise Lasser, and Carlos Montalban. Written by Allen and Mickey Rose, the film is about a bumbling New Yorker who, after being dumped by his activist girlfriend, travels to a tiny Latin American nation and becomes involved in its latest rebellion. Parts of the plot are based on the book Don Quixote, U.S.A. by Richard P. Powell. Filmed on location in New York City, Lima, Peru, and Puerto Rico, the film is number 78 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies".

Re: Bananas
BananasOne of the funniest movies from my childhood. So many great situations and lines in this movie that me and my brother used to laugh about for hours. It also features a cameo by Stallone, but even if it didn't, I'd be glad I saw this movie. My favourite part is when they are chasing that dude with nets and when Woody Allen goes into the store to buy a diry mag but ends up buying about ten other magazines before he picks up the dirty mag ("...and one of these"), then the cashier needs to find a price for the dirty mag so he shouts to the back of the store to a colleague, so everybody knows Allen is buying a dirty mag anyway. Priceless. A

Re: Bananas
This is another Allen gem, though I didn't see much of his films so far, with one of his earliest directorial efforts he shows to be one of Hollywoods best comedic minds. He's just as good of an actor too, playing the role he just wrote himself from a great script that's not only funny, but also insightful, almost every joke has a context in real or daily situations. It's just a pretty good film that excels with its humor and it made me want to check out some more of his work.
