Quote:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is a 2011 epic fantasy film directed by David Yates and the second of two films based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the eighth and final instalment in the Harry Potter film series, written by Steve Kloves and produced by David Heyman, David Barron and Rowling. The story continues to follow Harry Potter's quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, alongside Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as Harry's best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively.

Principal photography began on 19 February 2009, and was completed on 11 June 2010, with the final day of reshoots taking place on 21 December 2010, marking the series' closure of ten years of filming. Part 2 was released in 2D, 3D and IMAX cinemas worldwide from 13–15 July 2011, and is the only Harry Potter film to be released entirely in 3D.

The film opened to universal critical acclaim, and is among the best reviewed films of 2011. At the box office, Part 2 claimed the worldwide opening weekend record, earning $483.2 million, as well as setting opening day and opening weekend records in various countries. The film is currently the third highest grossing film of all time, the highest grossing film of 2011, the highest grossing film in the Harry Potter series, and the ninth film ever to gross over $1 billion.

The Blu-ray and DVD sets were released on 11 November 2011 in the United States, and will be released in the United Kingdom on 2 December 2011. In October 2011, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was declared the highest pre-ordered Blu-ray and DVD ever by Amazon.com. The film was also released in the Harry Potter: Complete 8-Film Collection box set on DVD and Blu-Ray, which included all eight films and new special features. Part 1 and Part 2 were released as a combo pack on DVD and Blu-ray on November 11, 2011, in Canada.

It's the best of the movies. Never say Yates can't hit a big moment again. A number of scenes improved on the book.

I look forward to your blunt and forward style of reviewing for this movie when it comes out.. I don't know why I get the impression you won't think it's near as good as TDK, but will see I suppose...

I don't like long-winded reviews. They feel pretentious. My biggest qualm is that it says "19 years later" instead of "Nineteen years later." That's how good it is.

Don't be stupid. I don't watch foreign films! Different languages scare me. I'm sure Chip feels the same.

In truth, no, I haven't seen it. But let me rephrase: I'm not amazed by only pretty colors. :)

True. But I'd rather be an ass than some gullible little fish, sucking down everything that comes my way. "Fantastic Four 3? Why, I recognize that brand name! Yes, please! And another sequel, too!"

What if it were announced that Nolan would be making a FANTASTIC FOUR 3??? Would you be onboard then??? :-k

Yes, because of the quality of Nolan as a filmmaker. Not because it's Fantastic Four 3.

So you'd see a movie you had no desire to see just because it was made by Nolan??? You truly are the textbook definition of being a Nolan fanboy.. I enjoy Steven Spielberg, hell, even David Fincher, but that doesn't mean they make a movie every time out that appeals to me or everyone else for that matter.. Point is is that Nolan really is put on too high of a pedestal by the internet world..

If Nolan made it I'd have a desire to see it. I wouldn't care about The Avengers if Joss Whedon wasn't writing and directing it.

And I think 'textbook Nolan fanboys' came around during The Dark Knight. I've been a fan since I saw Memento in 2000.
