Seeing Scream is worth it for the opening scene alone even if you don't watch the rest.

Have you seen a Scream movie?

indeed not. Being very much not a horror fanboy I still want to catch the first at least, but it's very far from the top of my catch-up list.

Have you seen some of the more classic horror films (Halloween in particular and maybe some other slashers like Black Christmas)? Seeing them prior to the first Scream surely increases the enjoyment.

Also no, and I completely believe that and hate entering a movie ignorant of what it wants me to, which makes the chance of me ever getting around to Scream even less likely.

I'm sure you can still enjoy the first Scream even without seeing all of the classics. You must have some knowledge of horror as a movie fan, even if you aren't a fan of this genre. You did enjoy Cabin in the Woods quite a lot, after all. The first Scream is my favorite horror movie of all-time. It's not only responsible for my love of the genre (I enjoyed horror before it though, but this movie made me much more interested in horror films), but I believe it's also why I love movies so much in general. Please move it up your list.

I watched the first Scream back in early 1997 and was never an avid horror film fan prior. I loved it. Give it a try.

F

As a fan of this series, I can honestly say: screw you Wes Craven. Seriously!? I find it unbelieveable that he would agree to direct this junk.

The story is far-fetched and the acting, really pathetic. The movie is filled with so much comedy that I didn't care what happened the last half of the film.

I hope there are no more.
