The worst thing about this documentary is that it didn't really touch on any ground that I didn't already know, but that obviously isn't the movies fault. :p It is about how the creative team took Green Day's American Idiot album and made it into a musical, then the Broadway tryout in California, the Broadway opening and eventually Billie Joe Armstrong being in the show as St. Jimmy himself. It was incredibly entertaining and made me happy that I saw the show because it really was a brilliant piece of musical theater and it shows throughout the movie.
