I think this is very, very good, but the netflix average is only 3 stars (and only about 1000 ratings) because it is too obscure for raters to have been told that it is very, very good. rather like the expected result if Magnus were to rate the album "the velvet underground and nico" had it not been "discovered" by the major presses. I am not saying this movie is a velvet underground and nico, nor is it an ugetsu, but it is certainly brighter than 3 stars.
