 Kinsey
Kinsey Quote: Kinsey is a 2004 biographical film written and directed by Bill Condon. It describes the life of Alfred Kinsey (played by Liam Neeson), a pioneer in the area of sexology. His 1948 publication, Sexual Behavior in the Human Male (the first of the Kinsey Reports) was one of the first recorded works that tried to scientifically address and investigate sexual behaviour in humans. The movie also stars Laura Linney (in a performance nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress), Chris O'Donnell, Peter Sarsgaard, Timothy Hutton, John Lithgow, Tim Curry, Oliver Platt, Dylan Baker and William Sadler. The film received critical acclaim, including a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Excellent movie - surprisingly well done biography of a forgotten science pioneer.
5 out of 5.

A
One of the best movies of 2004.
It's discussion about sex is so relevant to our current climate that it makes me hurt. Alfred Kinsey is still ahead of OUR time. But, the movie also doesn't avoid showing the flaws in Kinsey's approach. He is one of the most interesting characters I've seen in a major motion picture in a while, and this is easily the best performance Neeson has ever given.
Laura Linney is wonderful as his wife, Mac. Bill Condon's script is a marvel, and his direction a brilliant balancing act between drama and some pretty damn hilarious comedy.
It only improves with repeated viewings. I sincerely hope more around here have seen it than this thread implies.

This movie is in my top 5 of 2004. As far as biopics go, this didn't go all TV Movie territory as it deftly balanced Kinsey's greatest and depressing moments, together with light and dramatic moments. Lynn Redgrave's cameo in the end is superb and memorable.

KinseyA solid film, well edited. It basically just threw up ideas that I have already thought of throughout my life. Still, it was nice to see other people, well respected scientists, condone those ideas. Kinsey was played well by Neeson, but it was hard in the first 20 minutes for me to detach him from his Taken character. The fact that marriage is a supression of our natural tendencies, and the Kinsey scale, and unearthing the true sexual patterns among humans, all fascinating to watch. The kissing scene between Neeson and Sarsgaard was disgusting, though. It was nice to see Chris O'Donnell and John Lithgow. Not seen them in a while. Peter Sarsgaard was pretty good too, but his penis is so small. B

Always trying to live up to your reputation . And his penis wasn't erect. Might explain why it wasn't very big . I haven't seen this film since theaters but really liked it. I gave it something like a B/ B+ then.

 Re: Kinsey
He's not fat. He's just your average guy. Usually really muscular guys have small ones. Tall, lanky guys generally have the biggest.
