Re: Crank: High Voltage
Crank 2 really embraced the craziness in a good way. It felt very Grindhouse-ish with over the top ultra violence mixed in with a lot of T&A. There were times I thought maybe it was a little too over the top, but overall you've got to love how wacky it was. Definitely a pleasant surprise from what I was thinking it would be. B+

Re: Crank: High Voltage
Crank: High Voltage is nothing like its predecessor in that is just not a fun ride to watch. Jason Statham is more annoying than any of his other films, Pedro screams out wannabe throughout it all, and the villians are just annoying. After the first charging up, the need to keep charging just becomes annoying. It's a terrible disappointment and one of the worst of the year 1/2*

Crank: High Voltage
Saw it at the cinema when it came out and didn't think it was that great (I attended with my wife), but watched it again this weekend and loved it. The humour in this one is better than the first, and the film generally moves at a better pace, but the ending obviously isn't as epic as the first. Still a great thrill ride.
I really wish they made a third.
