 Then She Found Me
Then She Found Me Quote: Then She Found Me is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Helen Hunt. The screenplay by Hunt, Alice Arlen, and Victor Levin is based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Elinor Lipman. The film marked Hunt's feature film directorial debut.

 Re: Then She Found Him
Yeah, it's Then She Found Me.
Anyways, the film is sweet enough, but I still found it flawed. Helen Hunt and Bette Midler are both great and deliver very strong performances. The relationship between their two characters is easily the most interesting part of this film, and the two work very well off one another. Unfortunately, when the film sidetracks into the various romantic relationships that Hunt's character encounters, it loses its way a bit. Colin Firth and Matthew Broderick are both surprisingly bland here and their characters aren't particularly likable. Hunt has next-to-no chemistry with either one of them, which makes the whole thing feel pretty unbelievable. Still, it's worth seeing at some point. B-

I thought Hunt, Midler, and Firth were great. I'd disagree about Hunt and Firth not having any chemistry. It's a very solid film. Not one I'd want to watch again as it's fairly slow-paced, but it's good for one viewing.

It's a very frustrating film. Helen Hunt and Colin Firth are both fine actors, but they are far from their best work here. I didn't find their characters interesting, engaging or relatable at all. The movie is just kind of going through the motions as far as the relationship between the two is concerned. It is dull, lifeless and neither dramatic nor really funny. The only scenes in which it actually comes alive is when Bette Midler enters the stage. I liked her character, her performance and her scenes with Hunt, even though the latter's character comes across as whiny just too many times. Matthew Broderick is actually pretty decent here too. The film itself, however, is not convincing for a second.
