I just remember the tremendous hype machine and the shift in perception I had of the Batman character. Wait, Batman as a dark character? I immediately latched onto that concept and loved the trailers. It made sense to me because bats live in dark caves....I get it! lol However, as I mentioned in the Batman Returns thread, it wasn't even the most highly anticipated film for me. I was really really looking forward to Honey I Shrunk the Kids and ESPECIALLY Last Crusade.

This was on TV recently and I rewatched some parts, great Batman movie, from Keaton to Nicholson and Basinger as well as the whole Gotham vibe.
