Agh, I just met a person that saw all 6 films in order for the first time, and didnt even care about the twist.
Where as PHantom Menace has the best Lightsaber battle of the first trilogy, this has the best fight of the 2nd trilogy. Like earlier stated, the biggest problem with the new films is there was noone to relate too, Thats why Han Solo was such a big force, in fact after the first, Ford had top billing in the films now. The Two different stories is what makes this movie work so well. You have your heroes loosing and running for their lives almost the entire time, where Han and Leia find romance, only to be betrayed by their good friend Lando. Luke gets to meet the legendary Yoda. And Of course, the supposed death of Han Solo.
The last battle has three stages, which is just beautiful to watch, its almost like a videogame, where as each one gets more difficult.
This movie is great, and its good to see such a dark film make 290 million dollars. This was Star War's Peak.

Re: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
I enjoyed it A LOT but it seemed like the first 90 minutes were just build up (a very entertaining build up though) for the last 30 minutes, which are brilliant. I love that it's darker than ANH and I have to rewatch Return of the Jedi again but I think this is my favorite out of all SW films. A

Re: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
IMO It is the most beautiful of the films.
The rest of the films are wildly entertaining, but ESB is the only one that for a few moments becomes truly great and fascinating. The fight with Darth Vader was actually more then entertaining, it was beautifully shot with great music.
The first one is more entertaining however ESB has some really nice well made scenes and you get this magic that we sadly never saw in a Star Wars Picture again.
As a child you may find it boring but easily now one must find this film or ANH to be the best SW film.
One of my top ten films
A+

Good but I think this is a bit overrated...I think Return of the Jedi is better...

Re: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Well executed movie. But I prefer the ANH. Still would rate it A. I would rate ROTJ at B+ below sith. PM and AOTC were boring would rate C-.

Surprisingly it's my least favorite in the Star Wars series, don't get me wrong, I still thought it was a great movie, just the others were better.

B+ gust busting Why is it so bad that I gave TESB a B+ and liked the others more?

The Dark Knight is the third greatest film ever made I would definitely go with the later of the two.

Crazy story, we get there at about 10 and when my Mom tried to pick up the tickets, but she had the wrong credit card. Because they said she needed the one that she ordered the tickets with, so they wouldn't let us have the tickets. So she drove all the way home and came back an hour and a half later with the right credit card and we walked into the show at 11:30. We got the only 2 seats left that weren't in the front row. I sat in the row highest up, and my Mom sat in the one just under it. That was my first time ever at a Midnight showing, and damn was it amazing. There were over 4.5K people there, they sold out 29 Screens for Midnight, and the only screen not showing TDK was showing Mama Mia!, and they didn't even sell that one out. And BJ did u go in IMAX?

Its not that bad, doesn't get nearly as cold in Anchorage as it does in the states by the great lakes, we just get a prolonged winter, its snowed on the third day of May this year. And they are currently building an IMAX screen that should be ready in time for summer 09
