Re: Never Back Down
Such a predictable and stupid plot with pathetically underwritten characters and bland (Honsou) to bad acting (everyone but Honsou). I don't get what the hoopla is over Amber Heard. She's not a very good actor and isn't the most beautiful actress out there either.
Grade - D+

Re: Never Back Down
Well, Amber looks gorgeous as all hell in ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE. Before seeing that trailer, when I had just seen her on the show HIDDEN PALMS, I wasn't convinced either. But in the trailer for ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE, it was clear to me why "all the boys love Mandy Lane."

Several people have brought that up, yeah, including Libs. I'd love to do him

NEVER BACK DOWN (2008)
It's cliché after cliché, yet it looks good and for this type of movie it is well-done and entertaining. There's definitely a level of campiness to it (which was obvious from the trailers), but it basically delivers whatever you could be looking for in a movie such as this. It's a solid little popcorn flick, and Sean Faris and Amber Heard are sexy. I might not have found Heard as gorgeous though if I hadn't already been won over by her in "All The Boys Love Mandy Lane."
Anyway, if you think it looks like a movie you'd like, then chances are you'll be pleased.
Grade: 7/10 (B)
For anyone interested, there is female nudity in it now with the Extended Beat Down Edition (just breasts of course), and I'm guessing those weren't in the theatrical version.

Not terribly bad, but far from good.
