Wow, you never think of Michael Douglas as an actor before Romancing the Stone, just the famed producer of Cookoo's nest, but dam if this wasn't an engaging flick. A very nice thriller with a great atmosphere, solid acting, and raises awesome ethical questions about our court system.

I can't say this enough, if you like Michael Douglas, check this one out. Though I did find it funny that the cover of the film has him with a gun, which he doesnt have throughout the entire time.

EW had a little box in their magazine a couple years ago saying that this film was ripe for a remake, and I really couldn't agree more, as there's a whole lot of potential wasted here. It takes forever to get anywhere in the dullest of ways, and once it does it does so in a rather dull fashion, coming to what is ultimately an unrewarding and dull ending. In a word, dull. There is potential though.
