 Ned Kelly (2003) Ned Kelly Quote: Ned Kelly is an Australian drama film directed by Gregor Jordan. The film portrays the life of Ned Kelly — a legendary bushranger in northeast Victoria. Ned Kelly, his brother Dan, and two other men — Steve Hart and Joe Byrne — formed a gang of Irish Australians in response to Irish and English tensions that arose in 19th century Australia. The film is mainly based on Robert Drewe's book Our Sunshine. Heath Ledger plays the title role as Edward 'Ned' Kelly.

I wish I could have liked this, but it was really hard to get into. It was OK in the beginning but went downhill after about 40 minutes, which isn't saying that much because it wasn't that great to begin with. I didn't feel much sympathy for the Ned Kelly character. It was just a poorly done movie. I did keep trying to get into it though. My parents found it even less tolerable than I did and they weren't into it at all, and had to annoyingly keep saying how much they didn't like it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all either.

It's not a memorable film at all, but I found it to be fairly entertaining and Ledger delivered a convincing leading performance.
