It pales in comparison to the other Nazi-themed movies made in Germany in recent years (like Sophie Scholl and Downfall), but is still a decent effort. Unlike those films, the characters here are more clichéd and represents rather caricatures, but with the story still being gripping most of the time and the film made very well on a technical level, I could overlook most of these flaws. It is really well-acted, though not extraordinarily so and the plotline is just as generic as you'd expect (a follower of the regime realizes its flaws), yet you just can't dislike it. It's a solid exercise. I thjnk the director has more potential in him than that, though.
