I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With is a 2006 independent film released by IFC Films and The Weinstein Company. Written, produced and directed by, and starring Jeff Garlin (of Curb Your Enthusiasm), it features Garlin, Sarah Silverman and Bonnie Hunt. Many improv veterans of Chicago's Second City and even its 1950s predecessor Compass Players appear, as well as Chicago radio personality Steve Dahl in a cameo.

When I started watching the new indie comedy I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, I honestly wasn't expecting much. It's gotten decent reviews and such but it just didn't seem like it would be a great movie. Boy was I wrong! It started out a little shaky, the first fifteen minutes or so weren't too interesting but once our main character meets Sarah Silverman, it turns into a hysterical and thought provoking film. The acting here is great and the person who surprised me the most was Sarah Silverman. It's her first big role (I think, anyway) and she was great. Bonnie Hunt was also great in the few scenes she was in. Jeff Garlin was good as well, though he was really annoying at the beginning, you fall in love with his character. I can't recommend this movie enough. It was great. It's also one of the funniest movies I've seen all year. Definitely recommended!

9/10 (A-)

4/10 -> D

Total disappointment. The whole movie feels very awkward and most of the jokes never feel funny. Things are not helped by a very static and very theater like directing. Every scene feels blend and creatively bored.
