For all its good intentions, I still can't forgive the fact that this flick felt like a 4-hour TV miniseries. It just dragged and dragged on unbearably without much really happening. Technically, it is decently made with good period costuming and art direction, but the film feels lifeless, except for Gillian Anderson's masterful turn that saves the film from getting an even worse grade.
