I'd forgotten all about this one. Little Vampire is a terrific little kid's movie with a really solid storyline, some great comedic acting by the likes of Richard Grant, and some genuine frights based on the eerie crypt settings.
This is an under-rated gem in the children's film genre - - I've watched it about a dozen times on video after seeing it's original theatrical release, and I've been charmed each and every time...
[Edit: I just noticed in the blurb above that they claimed it originally aired on TV. That's not true, it had a theatrical release, but was sadly little seen, only making $13 million during it's domestic run.]
