It was written by Crystal and Peter Tolan.

Re: America's Sweethearts This is actually one of my favorite Julia Roberts rom-coms, topped only by Pretty Woman and My Best Friend's Wedding. It's really funny, entertaining and enjoyable, and the entire cast does a great job. It's very underrated.

Re: America's Sweethearts I love John Cusack as always and the rest of the cast is great. I love Christopher Walken in this one. Ironically when Billy Crystal first wrote it, he had himself cast in the Cusack role.
