Disagree. I still like this movie, in the B+ range, but really is the only one of the series that doesn't feel complete. I think my least favorite of the series.

Sorcerer's Stone- B+
Chamber of Secrets- A-
Prisoner of Azkaban- A+
Goblet of Fire- A+
Order of Phoenix- B+
Half Blood Prince- A
Deathly Hallows 1- A+
Deathly Hallows 2- A+

Well, you're certainly far more charitable to the series as a whole than I am. ;)

I grew up on the series. I was only 14 when the first came out. To date I think DH is the only series that has effectively split a film in two. And while Azkaban and Goblet are better than them, they both feature hands down the two best sequences in the franchise.

Post Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
I recently rewatched the whole series. None of these movies rates below an A- for me. Ultimately, it's so close between these movies that I rank them based on how much I like to rewatch that particular film, and also by how much was omitted from the books that bothered me.

8. Prisoner of Azkaban A- (I know this is many people's favorite in the series, but for me I don't enjoy it as much as the other films. The least watched in the series for me.)

7. Deathly Hallows Part I A-

6. Deathly Hallows Part II A- (In an otherwise great movie, the final battle at Hogwarts pissed me off because the book version was perfect and they changed it unnecessarily)

5. Goblet of Fire A (This contains one of the most frustrating scenes which is immediately followed by one of my favorite scenes in the series. Ranks below the others because of the omission of content I loved in the book)

4. Order of the Phoenix A (See explanation of #5)

3. Chamber of Secrets A (Great adaptation of the book, but not quite as great as...)

2. Sorcerer's Stone A (I walked out of the theater having never read the book and was blown away. Then I read the book and liked it even more because it was so faithfully adapted.)

1. Half-Blood Prince A+ (Everything about this movie worked for me. When I watch this movie, I don't feel like anything important was missed in the adaptation, although there actually is, and the execution was amazing.)

Yeah, The movie is perfect up until after Kings Cross. Though they don't actually explain why Harry survived.

Yes they do. It's one of the easiest explanations of all time. It' because of his scar, and Harry himself was a horcrax or however the hell you spell it.

Maybe the book is different. But easily the worst line in the series is "Of course, Phoenix tears have healing powers"

This one has my favorite line of the series "Dumbledore's got style"

The horcrux did die. Harry lived due to the presence of Lily's blood protection living in Voldemort combined with the fact that Harry was the true master of the Elder wand. It was impossible for Voldemort to kill Harry as long as he himself was alive, plus the Elder wand resists killing its master, even if it is possible.

The book was the weakest of the series but the movie version of it is better. The movie introduces the world very well but the order is not used in the movie much. The finale and purpose of the movie aren't explored throughout the movie and its not worthy of a full movie. I understand the need for magical school but cannot believe Harry as the teacher because the past movies have been preparing Hermoine to be the most gifted with spells. The actors carry this movie and this time the supporting character additions weren't as great.
