I'm pretty sure they are guaranteed the Oscar this year (it'll be incredibly funny if Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix picks up the third nomination).

Sorry boys, I've got bad news from the future.

I forgot how fucking HILARIOUS this movie is. The action is intense but the comedy is RELENTLESS. Just perfection.

The Mom, John Turturro's character, Anthony Anderson, and then so many random bits ("His hormones indicate he wants to mate with the female") are classic. Labuff is good, as is Megan Fox.

I haven't seen this in a while, but I remember it was kind of fun.

Transformers

I was never as fond of this as most but I just watched it again as part of my Transformers marathon (prior to seeing The Last Knight), and it's a blast. I missed it in its original run, and probably only saw it once a few years after it was released, perhaps even after the sequel. Anyway, it is full of action, has an awesome score, has a hot Megan Fox, a likable Shia, and superb action, comedy that works, and cool visuals (as well as a simple story). It is Bay through and through. In your face, relentless mash-up of mechanical shapes and noise. It is extremely satisfying.

I cannot wait to watch Revenge of the Fallen next, despite disliking it at the cinema. It is an odd feeling to be looking forward to a film you know you disliked, but I think perhaps I was too harsh on it before. Now I know what to expect from these films, I think I may like them all a lot more than I did upon first seeing them, especially Revenge of the Fallen.

B+

This isn't that great.

It's not a bad movie, but I don't see why it was considered so much better than the other 2007 summer movies. I enjoyed all the May threequels and OOTP much more than this. The entertaining (though cheesy as hell) parts have to do with the central story concerning Sam and Mikaela. Anytime they cut to the military, bathroom break! The Transformers are cool, but the cube stuff is convoluted. And of course the action is good but goes on far too long. And you do not care at all when the black Transformer dies.

I actually like the parents though I know a lot don't.

Its so refreshing to see this movie now as the new movies have completely gone off rails. The world building is so good in here and the story flows organically in here even the military scenes are done well. The visuals are also pretty good in here even after four more sequels it feels that this one had better creature designs. Its still a needlessly long movie and at times repetitive but overall fun to watch.

I am finally going to watch the entire series now and as far as the "Transformer titled" movies go this is easily the best movie of the lot, second only to Bumblebee.
