I'll never look on Cows the same.

Effective if patchy Irish horror. I saw this nearly 2 years ago so details are to vague unfortunately.

Seen it last year at the Fantasy Film Festival and was impressed. It was obviously low budget and low key, yet managed to create an effective atmosphere of dread and grit. The lead delivered a fine performance. Now sometimes, the film has to keep things way too low key. I didn't like that at no point we ever got a clear look of the "creature", but that was certainly due to budget constraints. Two scenes I remember as being particulary suspenseful. Many have written that the film has Cronenberg-style written all over it and I'd agree wiith that.

Loved it! It's a gem! Another excellent horror movie from the UK and superior to The Descent and Wilderness. You could never expect it to be this damn good from the plot. Very well-made and highly recommended. It's low-key for sure but it works so well because of the great atmosphere. This just goes to further prove that most of the best horror movies are the lower budget ones.

I wish it could be seen by a larger audience. This should have been part of the After Dark Horrorfest.

Grade: 8/10 (A-)

I like the fact you'd know not to call this film British

Seriously Mike, get the country right we have so few of them.
