CAFFEINE - 4/10 (D+)

Ugh, what a terrible movie. It's a shame that such a talented cast is wasting their time in what is essentially a ripoff of Waiting. For whatever reason, this movie is set in London - even though it is obviously not filmed there and over half of the actors are American. This results in many actors attempting to pull off British accents, and failing quite miserably. Mena Suvari is the worst - changing her accent at least a thousand times throughout, which worsens her already terrible performance. There's also not a single funny comedic sequence here, with most of them either coming off as disgusting or completely ridiculous. Marsha Thomason does alright with the material, mainly because her character is basically the only likable one of the bunch. Katherine Heigl, the only reason I rented this movie, has a relatively small role and is cute and charming - easily the best thing about this disaster. Mike Vogel and Breckin Meyer are both wasted, and Callum Blue is atrocious and annoying as hell. The whole thing feels very amateurish and poorly edited - resulting in a nearly-unbearable indie flick that will leave you feeling bored, annoyed and frustrated.
