Thanks, Nebs.

Somehow, this is the worst alien invasion film from 1996. Though both Independence Day and Mars Attacks! have their fair share of flaws, this film is nothing but flaws. To start off, it's got some of the worst acting by an entire cast in a major motion picture. Some of this is due to the wretched dialogue, but most of it is due to what seem like first-take scenes. Charlie Sheen is overacting incredibly, and everyone else is just plain wooden. The story would be interesting if it were not botched completely with unbelievable situations and silly action sequences. The direction is entirely unremarkable, and the special effects are wholly un-amazing. Plus, it's got a kid in it - a sure flaw in any film for adults. Truly terrible.

Forgot about this one!

This was a B-movie made great by it's clever screenplay and exciting direction. I remember being very surprised at how good it was...

Decent film with an intriguing premise. Lot's of interesting moments - I can recall being really impressed with the dish scene during the climax. It's got a creepy, effective ending and lots of exciting ideas, but it never really comes together to form a cohesive film. The acting could be much, much better. It doesn't feel like a serious picture, but that's alright - in the end, it's a diverting film with an interesting premise.

Oh wow, is right! - - this one's from way back... don't have my original review, but remember wishing that "they" made way more quality sci-fi b-movies like this one.

Very, very, very well done for what it is.

Looong time ago that I've seen this. I remember liking it mildly, but not enough to give it a grade. I have a thing for alien invasion flicks, though.

Now you wanna see something truly bad? Watch the sequel to this!

Underrated film. People are talking about some terrible Visual Effects, I can't believe this only cost 5 million to make. Consider that Independence Day and Mars attacks both cost over 70 million to make, it makes the most of it, and their are some very good sequences. The Ball eraser thing and inside and finale were very well done, and while the effects are obvious CGI, I think it works for the most part. Overall, when this came out I thought it was a huge Bomb and terrible. Watching it a week ago, it was a decent thriller with an interesting story and actually made a decent profit.
