Evil (Swedish: Ondskan) is a 2003 Swedish drama film directed by Mikael Håfström, based on Jan Guillou's supposedly semi-autobiographical novel Ondskan from 1981, and starring Andreas Wilson, Henrik Lundström and Gustaf Skarsgård. The film is set in a private boarding school in the year 1959 with institutional violence as its theme.
The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 76th Academy Awards. It won three Swedish Guldbagge Awards including Best Film.

EVIL - 9/10 (A-)
Great film! The acting, cinematography, directing, etc... are all great. I highly recommend it. It's too bad it couldn't have won for "Best Foreign Film" at the 2005 Oscars, but at least it was nominated.

Re: Ondskan [Evil]
Really enjoyed this film, while it was a Swedish film it did have an American vibe to it. Did a good job to nail it's theme home and how/why people do the things they do.
