I was expecting a good movie, but not one that I would particularly like.
However, it was a great movie that was also great to watch. The acting was terrific, especially the parents.
This was a wonderful surprise.

I'm glad this one caught on at the box office (more or less). It deserves it.

This is a small yet sweeping, sensitive yet passionate film chronicling the lives of a husband and wife who live their lives with quiet dignity.

Kal Penn's story plays a large role, but it is ultimately background to the story of the mother and father, played brilliantly by Tabu and Irfan Khan, and I wouldn't be surprised if both of them landed on my list of the best supporting performances of the year. The arc of these two characters is quite honestly one of the best stories I've seen in a film in a while.

The film as a whole doesn't quite match, though, unfortunately. Especially near the end it's evident that the screenplay is trying to pack too much of the novel in, especially in regards to the Kal Penn storyline, which for me simply went on a bit too long.

I loved it, though. Wish more people would see it.

I thought it was good, but it's gotten kind of overrated due to the overwhelmingly positive critical reception. I thought it needed to be cut down a bit (especially in the final act, when it becomes somewhat tiresome). I loved the performances though. Kal Penn, Tabu and Irfan Khan are all fantastic here.

A feel-good movie of which I actually felt good about it. The performances are excellent. Especially, Tabu and Irfan Khan. It's not just each of their acting abilities but also the chemistry between them. Though, the melodrama, at times, became a bit cheesy and forced. Overall, it was really good.

Ok, honestly, I was kind of really IN to it. It reminds me a lot of my life.
