 Chakushin ari [One Missed Call]
One Missed Call Quote: One Missed Call (着信アリ Chakushin ari) is a 2003 Japanese horror film directed by Takashi Miike. The trademark "ringtone of death" from this film had become rather popular, and was actually used as a ringtone and background music for unofficial haunted houses.

B+
In several months the remake of this Takashi Miike shocker will hit the US theatres, but I doubt it'll really be any similar to the original. The original, at that, is a highly confusing, yet immensly tense and suspenseful horror flick. In the end, it doesn't make much sense (but it seems like it was never supposed to anyway). The whole plot pretty much collapses into itself at some point. However, throughout most of it, it is extremely suspenseful and there are a couple of great jump scenes too. One of the best Asian horror flicks out there.

I recommend to check this out before the release of the remake if possible...
