The Gift is a 2000 American film directed by Sam Raimi, written by Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Epperson and based on the alleged psychic experiences of Thornton's mother.

It is a supernatural thriller, with the main character Annie (Cate Blanchett) becoming involved in a murder mystery as a result of her witnessing the crime with her second sight. Other major characters are played by Keanu Reeves, Giovanni Ribisi, Hilary Swank, Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear.

Great supernatural thriller. Predictable in the end though. Great performances.

A good horror movie, even though it is somehow hard for me to call this film horror. It is really much more of a supernatural thriller. The cast is superb. Keanu Reeves delivers one of his career-best turns and Cate Blanchett shines as always. The movie is very interesting, even though it lacks a bit of explanation at the end. The twists are rather unpredictable, though and well-done. Good job, Sam Raimi!

One big bore of a film. At least redneck Keanu Reeves was fun.
