I didn't hear nearly enough hype about this movie when it first came out!

It is awesome. It is adult relationship love spun into an ultra-confection of celluloid. It is carnality incarnate. It is a truly en-lighten-tertaining movie.

5 out of 5.

After watching this last night I think this might be tied with Scream as my favorite film of all-time. I really find it flawless and it never gets old with me.

An extremely wonderful romantic comedy. This film was hilarious, very moving at times, sweet, and filled to the brim with wonderful music and songs. The performances were all great, especially those of Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy, and Emma Thompson. I could have done without the storyline involving Martin Freeman's character and his fellow stand-in love interest chick though. How could someone not have a big smile on their face at the end of this movie?

The best film of 2003 IMO, and the best romcom I've ever seen. Its one of Hugh Grants best, I love this film

A+

This is definitely one of my favorite Hugh Grant movies. The first time I saw it, though I loved it, I thought there was just a bit too much going on. But all the characters are so great, that it's easy to over look that.

Yes, I know the movie pulls all the heart strings, and I know they are doing it.

But you know what? I didn't mind my heart strings being tug, and I liked it

Grade: A

The characters are pretty much all likeable, and loved the ensamble cast.

Love actually, is an A movie.

My only minor complaint is that they could have linked the two people playing body doubles in a porno to the other characters better. I think the only time they appeared with other main characters is when they attended the elementary school's performance night.

Actually, The director of the porno films was the roomate of the guy who went to america to get american women. That same guy was the server at the wedding :)

I think some of it's great, but the last 15 minutes or so are just atrocious.

Since it's almost Christmas, I definitely plan on watching this again soon. It's the best holiday-themed film ever.

I've already watched this twice since Thanksgiving :P I think it's flawless and there's nothing I'd change about it at all. It's one of the only films ever to make me cry, and it still manages to do so every time I watch it.

B+. I love this movie, but there are a few episodes that fall flat (like the light doubles). On a side note: Keira is just adorable here...

A/A-

Definitley the ultimate romantic comedy... what more can I say that hasn't been already. As each individual story it's entertaining and funny with all the best British actors around, as a whole it's a love letter to love itself, and a perfect one at that. Definitley a movie I could see myself re-watching lots too.

Billy Mack was also my favorite by the way.

Love it. It is the perfect X-Mas film. I almost cried.

Almost cried?

The scene with 'God Only Knows' hell, I am tearing up just thinking about it now.

A for me, love this movie.

Just wanted to add, after seeing Rickman in real form in this movie, my appreciation for his Snape performance grows. I cannot believe they're the same person.

It held up after several repeat viewings. Definitely one of my all-time favorite romcoms. The cast deserved a SAG nod.

Yeah, um. I just posted a random thread in the Real Life forum about how much I love the score to this movie, especially the "love" theme they play at the end of the movie. It reminds me of how much I love this movie to pieces. In fact, I think if I had to name 5 movies that I would always have on hand if I needed cheering up, this would be one of them.

I totally agree, Libs. :) It's one of my favorites and definitely a great feel good movie. I only try to watch it around Christmas time, though. It seems a lot more special around then, especially if you're watching it with someone you love and you're snuggling on the couch. It's such a nice little romantic movie.
